Event Management

Most of the people love to attain the parties or events. The reason may be chow, embellishment, entertainment and etc. but have you ever thought that who managed these things? Did anyone appointed for that job? Yes, there is a team who managed the event whether it’s a wedding or a birthday party. There is a leader who overlook the event i.e., Event Manager.

Event management is the process by which an event is planned, prepared and produced. It is basically an art of managing event. A person who oversees and arranges every aspect of an event including researching, scheduling, organizing, implementing, controlling and evaluating and event’s design, activities and production is known as Event Manager.

Before organizing an event a team has to make the plans of event which includes budgeting, scheduling, site selection, necessary permits, and etc. As we all know there are various types of events so the process of planning and execution of each event differs on the basis of types of events.

There are many types of events on the basis of nature and size. On the basis of nature includes Entertainment Events, Social Events, Corporate Events, Religious Events, Educational Events, Political Events, and Charitable Events. On the basis of size includes Mega Events, Major Events, Regional Events and Minor Events.

Being an Event Manager or Event Planner is not an easy job because he has all the responsibilities of event from the planning to the execution. An Event Manager should have the confidence, great interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, flexibility, passionate and enthusiastic, keen eye for details, creative and innovative and superior organizing skills.

If you want to become an Event Manager then you can opt for Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC), Diploma Courses and MBA in Event Management. There is a plus point in choosing your Event Management career after completing the graduation in BJMC that you got the graduation degree and you learn the other qualities too like the photography, Camera Handling, Software, etc. which can be helpful in your event career. Event Management is one of the booming professions in today’s era because everyone is busy in their life no one has time for the arrangement of birthday parties, weddings, trips, kitty parties, business meetings, conferences, etc. so for organizing these events they need Event Planners.
